Ceradyne Inc., a publicly traded corporation that manufactures body armor in Lexington and Costa Mesa, Calif., will supply more than $400 million of ceramic body armor to the U.S. Sepcial Operations Command over the next five years. An initial delivery is scheduled for early 2008 and will likely provide protection to U.S. forces in Iraq and Afghanistan.
