BEIJING – The presidents of China and Russia, Hu and Medvedev respectively,  condemned a U.S. plan for a global missile defense system on Friday, agreeing that the installation of missile defense components in certain countries “does not help to maintain strategic balance and stability or strengthen international efforts to control nonproliferation.”

The agreement between the two presidents may foreshadow a closer bond between their countries, as Medvedev chose China as the main destination of his first foreign trip.  For more information, click here and return back to comment.
