Thirty miles off the Virgina Coast, two F-16C Falcon jets collided in a mid-air Thursday night according to the Coast Guard, which rescued one Air National Guard pilot from the water. The other pilot was able to make it back to base with a clipped jet wing.

The rescued pilot was in good condition and was taken back to Joint Base Andrews in Maryland, according to a Coast Guard news release.
