CANYON LAKE, Texas—COPsync, Inc. a software technology provider to law enforcement and emergency service professionals, is pleased to announce that the Company has begun the build out of a nationwide sales force with the addition of three senior industry sales executives. The addition of Richard O’Connor, Steve Roberts and Shaun Mitchell is part of a larger effort by COPsync to retain key industry leaders to assist the Company in rapidly expanding its existing customer base and increase the number of law enforcement officers currently utilizing its robust in-car law enforcement data collection and information sharing software.
Richard O’Connor joins COPsync as a Regional Sales Manager. Prior to joining COPsync, Richard O’Connor served as West Coast Territory Manager for one of the Nation’s largest Digital In-Car Video Systems manufacturers with annual sales revenues in excess of $25 million. Previously, Richard was an instrumental member of General Dynamic’s Itronix Division – Public Safety Vertical where his efforts helped secure numerous law enforcement agencies in Texas including Dallas PD and Tarrant County Sheriff’s Office (Ft. Worth). Additionally, while at General Dynamics, Richard secured major accounts for public safety in the Western USA, including Denver PD, Denver Fire, San Francisco’s DPT, Sacramento PD, Spokane PD/Spokane County Sheriff’s Office and the Washington State Patrol.
“In my professional opinion there has never been a product that can leverage technology to provide this level of vendor agnostic interoperability, added officer safety and significant increases in efficiency. I look forward to sharing the COPsync story and the enhancements to Public Safety that their software provides,” stated Richard O’Connor.
Steve Roberts joins COPsync as a Regional Sales Manager. Prior to joining COPsync, he was the National Sales Manager for a manufacturer of firearms training systems with annual sales revenues of $15 million to the law enforcement and military defense markets. Steve is a graduate of Marion Military Institute (AA – Military Science), Sam Houston State University, and Texas A&M police academy. Steve is a veteran law enforcement officer.

Shaun Mitchell joins COPsync as a Regional Sales Manager. Prior to joining COPsync, Mr. Mitchell was an Account Executive with The Cobalt Group / GM Digital Marketing, North America’s leading provider of automotive internet marketing services. A few of his accomplishments while at Cobalt include the Rock Star Award, which is awarded to people that fundamentally change the way Cobalt does business and Presidents Club. Prior to Cobalt, Mr. Mitchell was an Advertising Consultant with AutoTrader.com, the Internet’s leading auto classifieds marketplace and consumer information website. Mr. Mitchell was also an account executive within the in-car video sector where he worked with Chiefs of Police and IT Directors.
