New York State Police have confirmed that Counter-Terrorism Action Teams will be conducting random checks at shopping malls and commuter trains in Orange, Rockland and Sullivan Counties on Wednesday, in an effort to boost security during the holiday shopping season by increasing awareness of potential terrorist activity.

60 law enforcement personnel from 20 agencies will be participating.
