WASHINGTON — The Supreme Court’s review of a ban on handguns in the nation’s capital has touched off a debate on gun rights that’s likely to impact Louisiana.
In a city once considered to be the nation’s murder capital, Louisiana high court is considering an appeal of a ruling that overturned the District of Columbia’s 32-year ban on handguns, a decision based on findings that handguns were disproportionately used by criminals.
