A wanted fugitive was arrested in West Michigan during a traffic stop for allegedly trying to transport many weapons from Chicago to Detroit.

A sheriff’s deputy stopped the man’s car at 1:20 p.m. Thursday along Interstate 94 near County Road 652 in Antwerp Township after the driver committed traffic violations.

The deputy discovered the driver was wanted on two traffic warrants out of the Grand Rapids Police Department and driving on a suspended license.

The deputy identified the driver as 37-year-old Marshal Piehl from the Detroit area.
