The Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) has selected AirWatch to manage its agency wide deployment of government-owned mobile devices.
AirWatch by VMware is the leading enterprise mobility management (EMM) provider with more than 12,000 global customers. AirWatch includes mobile device, email, application, content and browser management solutions for organizations.
FDLE recently revised its mobility strategy to include iOS and Android devices before selecting AirWatch after reviewing potential EMM vendors.
According to MarketWatch,
[The FDLE] chose AirWatch because of its ability to enforce robust management and security parameters while preserving the technology’s user experience. Additional factors influencing their decision were AirWatch’s outstanding technical support throughout the proof of concept stage, its ability to disable access to unsecure wireless networks, device installation and management and its ability to limit App Store downloads to pre-approved whitelisted applications.
