Gander Mountain will open its first “Gun World” store in Germantown this weekend, the company said Wednesday in a news release.

The 30,000-square-foot store will offer more than 5,000 guns with “firearms specialists” on hand to give shoppers one-on-one service, the release said. The store at the corner of U.S. Highway 41/45 and Lannon Road will celebrate its grand opening Saturday and Sunday. The first 100 visitors on Saturday will receive $10 gift cards, and other specials and events will take place throughout the weekend.

This is the second new retail model Gander Mountain, based in St. Paul, Minn., has rolled out in Wisconsin this year. It opened one of the first “Gander Mountain Academy” facilities inside its DeForest store in August. The academy offers firearm training.
