One of Chicago’s most violent neighborhoods has a little less firepower tonight after Chicago police seized 16 guns from a location in Englewood.
Gang Enforcement Officers responded a a call of shots fired near 5600 South Damen at 1 a.m. this morning, according to police.
Officers conducted a field interview with some people who were in the area. They were given information that led them to a nearby location where the guns were found.
There was one machine gun, seven shotguns and eight rifles. One of the weapons was determined to have been stolen.
So far, there are no arrests.
