Cougar MRAP in service with US Military in Iraq

Defense contractor General Dynamics has been awarded a $74.7 million contract for egress upgrade kits in support of the Mine Resistant Ambush Protected (MRAP) program. The contract was awarded by the U.S. Marine Corps Systems Command to General Dynamics Land Systems – Force Protection.

As the press release notes, the company will develop, design and produce 916 egress kits for the Cougar MRAP vehicles. These kits include upgrades to the front doors, rear doors, rear steps and exhaust system.

Delivery of the kits will be completed by September 2015.
