For about a week, visitors to the Gettysburg battlefield could pick up a unique souvenir: a bobblehead doll not of Abraham Lincoln, but of his assassin, John Wilkes Booth. But now the item is gone from the museum store’s shelves.
Officials at the Gettysburg National Park Museum gave the doll a second thought after a local reporter started asking questions.
“The item was inappropriate, and we should pull the item from the shelves,” says Gettysburg Foundation spokeswoman Dru Anne Neil.
