Glock 17: When it was introduced more than 30 years ago, the Glock 17 carried an unprecedented 17 rounds in its magazine. The Glock 17 Gen4 pistol has just won a big solicitation from the Armed Forces of the Philippines.
Glock announced Monday that after extensive testing, the Department of National Defense of the Republic of the Philippines opted for the Glock 17 Gen4 for its solicitation.

The solicitation calls for a total of 74,861 pistols.
To match the quantity of pistols, the contract also calls for the same amount of Glock safety holsters. With a total of 74,861 holsters, this is the biggest holster contract in Glock’s company history.
