A grantville GA gun store was the site of a horrid triple murder

Lock Stock & Barrel Shooting Range, a Grantville GA gun store was the scene of a brutal triple murder and homicide yesterday, according to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI).

Grantville GA Gun Store Robbery Details

The Grantville Police Department released a statement on Facebook with the details. Importantly, they’re asking for information from anyone who may have driven past the store between the hours of 5:00-6:30pm and observed any vehicles other than a “a white Ford dually truck and a black Ford expedition.”

The attackers took over 40 guns from the store, as well as the disc out of the store’s security camera system. Due to the volume of guns taken, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms is taking the lead in the ongoing investigation.

The ATF and NSSF Are Offering a Reward for Information

The ATF has posted a $5,000 reward for information in the case. This $5,000 is matched by the National Shooting Sports Foundation, as well as the City of Grantville. This brings the total reward to $15,000. According to ATF Atlanta Field Division Special Agent in Charge Benjamin P. Gibbons, solving this case is their top priority. Anyone with information about the identity of the killer or killers can contact the ATF at 1-800-ATF-TIPS (283-8477).

The Suspect’s Actions Indicate they’re Extremely Dangerous

Several aspects of this case differentiate it from typical gun store smash-and-grab robberies. For example, taking the DVR recording indicates this was planned. Secondly, the timing of the attack when no customers were in the store seems pre-meditated. Lastly, the fact that the killer(s) murdered everyone in the store indicates a willingness to commit high-order violence to accomplish their goals.

All of this ads up to indicate that the Grantville GA gun store wasn’t a target of opportunity. Rather, this appears to be a specific, targeted attack by professional criminals. This makes the suspect or suspects extremely dangerous to citizens and to law enforcement. Successful attacks on occupied gun stores are extremely rare as well. Smash and grab hits after hours are the usual method.

We’ll continue to cover this ongoing story as we have more updates.
