Kevin Ketter, owner of Kaw Valley Gun Club, says this summer he has seen a significant increase in people coming in to buy and rent guns as well as people wanting to know how they can safely protect themselves.
“We have quite a few families coming in, husbands, wives, even their kids coming in learning how to shoot properly,” says Ketter. “We’ve had people come in that have actually been held hostage in their house, cars broken into, houses broken into and people are scared out there cause we got a few thugs running around.”
In fact it’s so busy he is thinking of adding additional concealed carry classes to support the load.
“It’s everybody’s right to protect themselves with a firearm, the Second Amendment gives us that right and people are taking advantage of it,” says Concealed Carry Class Instructor Curtis Bears.
