Philippine Coast Guard rescued at least six would-be victims of human trafficking, who escaped from their recruiter in Palawan.

The Coast Guard said the ages of the six ranged from 22 to 30. They were from Pampanga, Bulacan, and Muntinlupa City.

Coast Guard Puerto Princesa officials escorted the six to the Office of the Anti-Human Trafficking Task Force for profiling, then turned them over to the regional Department of Social Welfare and Development “for further assistance and for their return to Manila.”
