An Idaho gun bill which would enable people to carry concealed firearms on college campuses in the state has received support from the Idaho Sheriffs’ Association.

According to the Associated Press, Adams County Sheriff Ryan Zollman said the association would support the legislation after a majority of Idaho sheriffs who responded to a poll said they favored it.

The legislation, which passed the Senate 25-10 last month, enables retired LEOs and people with a concealed carry permit to carry guns anywhere except dormitories, stadiums and concert halls.

“Legal citizens should not have the right to pack guns taken away from them,” Zollman said.
