Gun owners in Bonneville county, Idaho, have been flooding to stores to buy certain rifles that could be outlawed after this year’s upcoming election.

AR-15 rifles from Sportsman’s Warehouse have been flying off the shelves with reports as high as a fifty percent increase from last year’s sales.  Gun buyers are fearful that a new president will change current laws and make it illegal to buy firearms such as these.

The manager of Sportsman’s Warehouse says gun sales will not go down overall if new laws are passed, but does say he’s concerned about the bigger picture of owning fire arms.

Adam Westfall, Hunting Manager: “What I’m fearful for, is our loss of rights and choices we would have at that point to choose the firearms we’d like to purchase”.

Westfall went on to say that many people want to ban these guns due to its perception as an army gun rather than a usable tool in varmint control and rifle competitions.
