A mother and daughter who suffered severe injuries in the Boston Marathon bombing were visited by some Marines who suffered similar injuries.

Celeste Corcoran, 47, and her 18-year-old daughter, Sydney, have undergone multiple surgeries at a Boston hospital since the bombing last week.

Due to the severity of her injuries, doctors had to amputate both of Celeste Corcoran’s legs below the knee.

Sydney Corcoran suffered shrapnel wounds that nearly killed her, including a torn femoral artery.
