WASHINGTON — An internal report found that officials of the Justice Department  illegally used “political or ideological” factors while recruiting members to join the  Department.  Some decisions were based on whether or not graduates from elite law schools had Federalist Society membership or other conservative credentials.  Oftentimes, those graduates were chosen over more qualified candidates with liberal-sounding résumés.  For more details on this, click here and return back to comment.
