Two police officers who arrived at the scene of an arrest in the parking lot of the AMC Loews Theatre Saturday morning were wounded by gunfire from fellow Plainville officers, a state police investigation found.

The incident happened as police were trying to arrest a man wanted on child pornography charges.

Officers Clifford J. Roper and David Slater were arriving at the scene when the shots were fired. Ofc. Roper was struck by a bullet in the forearm, and Ofc. Slater was injured by shards of glass.
