Kansas police will stage an active-shooter response exercive in Chanute on Tuesday at Neosho County Coummunity College. The simulation will include the participation of police, fire, medical and media units from local and regional agencies. The exercise is meant to prepare law enforcement and other officials for a crisis situation.
The exercise will begin at 10 a.m. and is expected to last four hours.
