NEW HAVEN, Conn. - <a href="http:\/\/www.msnbc.msn.com\/id\/4327893" target="_blank">Michael Skakel's lawyers havev filed a new appeal of his murder conviction, claiming that eveidence that pointed to another suspect and discredited a key state witness was withheld<\/a>. A state jury convicted Skakel in 2002 for the murder of 15-year-old Martha Moxley which occurred in 1975. He's now serving 20 years to life in prison. The appeal alleges his lawyers were never given two crucial pieces of evidence including a report received by Greenwich police that implicates another suspect. Skakel's lawyers are seeking a hearing and the setting of bail.
