Bardstown (KY) Police Chief Rick McCubbin says the department has received further threats against its officers following the shooting death of Officer Jason Ellis, who was killed in an ambush on May 25.

The chief confirmed the threats, but did not reveal their nature or how the department received them. He says his agency has notified the Kentucky State Police.

Police continue the investigation into Ellis’ murder. A reward for information in the case has grown to more than $125,000.
