CNN– The DEA is expecting Mexican drug cartel violence to cross the border and affect innocent people on the U.S. side who may get caught in the crossfire.  The current majority of drug violence in the U.S. has been limited specifically to trafficker-on-trafficker violence. But statistics from a December 2008 report by the Justice Department estimate that there are Mexican cartel traffickers operating out of more than 230 U.S. cities.  That estimate is what has law enforcement officials bracing for a future increase in drug-related violence within the U.S. borders.
