
Six people arrested by Lebanese Army in the northeastern town of Arsal, Beirut. The party were in connection with a stash of weapons that was confiscated by the Army.
“An Army checkpoint in Arsal stopped a pickup truck loaded with weapons, light ammunition, hand grenades and two devices used to detonate bombs from a distance as well as special clothes,” the military’s General Directorate said in a statement.
A security source told The Daily Star the Army apprehended six people with links to the weapons.
