A local Nebraska police department will soon receive some equipment upgrades. According to KOTA-TV, police in Scottsbluff, Nebraska are set to get 19 new guns, in addition to more ammunition for training and duty, as well as new gun locks for unmarked police vehicles.
As KOTA-TV reports, the purchase was authorized by the city in 2013, but delivery of the guns and ammo was delayed due to an ammo shortage in 2012.
Nearly $17,000 of city funds will be utilized by the Scottsbluff Police Department to make the purchase.
