On Tuesday, the Mesa County Sheriff’s Office hosted an active shooter training session for various law enforcement agencies, including Colorado Parks and Wildlife.
At Victory Life Church, officers worked in groups communicating tactically as they went through different scenarios.
“It’s very important to have all law enforcement in the valley on the same page when it comes to something like this. Throughout all our agencies, we have different tactics that we use, but when it comes to an active shooter scenario, our goal is to get all law enforcement agencies on the same page,” says sergeant Jeff Byrne of the MCSO.
