Sgt. Aaron Burgess, of the Sterling Heights Police Department, can make a mountain bike dance.

As the godfather of police bicycle patrol in Macomb County, he has rode in and over all types of terrian, can hop on and off a bike in a blink of an eye and now teaches other police officers in southeast Michigan how to become certified bike patrol officers. The certification program is set up through the Law Enforcement Bicycle Association and the Macomb Police Academy through Macomb Community College.
