New Zealand Police just announced a record-breaking drug bust of over 330 kilograms of the Class B drug ContacNT, which is used to make methamphetamine. Police and the Organised and Financial Crime Agency New Zealand (OFCANZ) also seized up to $NZ20 million of assets including property, cars and cash.
250 police officers executed 40 search warrants in Auckland and Waikato this morning, leading to the arrest of 24 New Zealand citizens and permanent residents, as part of Operation Ghost.
The drugs seized were enough to produce up to 100 kilograms of methamphetamine with a street value of $NZ100 million.
