According to a press release, Johnson and his team will utilize “creative storytelling” and the “latest high-definition television technology” to teach audiences about the importance of firearm safety. The program will use a nonjudgmental approach to the use of guns and firearm safety. Experts will explain the correct way to keep firearms in one’s home. Methods of keeping firearms locked up and reasons for disabling the firing mechanism will also be explained to the television audience.
Children will be taught to treat firearms with respect. The dangers of using firearms carelessly and thoughtlessly will be stressed, and the importance of firearm safety will be emphasized with an emphasis on new techniques and products being used to help curb unintentional gun discharges.
