The National Rifle Association (NRA) opened the National Sporting Arms Museum at the Bass Pro Shops outdoor retail store in Springfield, Missouri.

The museum features almost 1,000 firearms including those used by French leader Napoleon Bonaparte and actor John Wayne.

Museum director Jim Supica said the museum is “not political,” but instead shows the history of firearms in the U.S.
