Those wanting to get a concealed weapons permit in Ohio County now will have to get their pictures taken.
If you own a concealed weapon in Ohio County, you need a permit, and those permits have changed.
The Ohio County Sheriff’s Department has purchased a photo identification system and permit holders will now get their picture taken after they are approved to own a concealed weapon.
“Anyone can apply in the county they live in for a permit. They have to take a gun safety course, be certified … then you’ll be approved and can come down,” said Chief Deputy Drage Flick.
