Operation Homefront has distributed free meals to military families in Hampton Roads, Va. as part of their nationwide Holiday Meals for Military program.

The program includes hundreds of blue bags stuffed with non-perishable foods and green bags with paper goods and utensils.

“Very good program, a lot of families out there can’t afford to buy their own, purchase their own meals for their families,” Navy CE 2 Jonathan Ritchard said. “I can’t wait, I can’t wait. This is the first time I’ll be home for the holidays in a long time.”

Operation Homefront helps active duty service members who have a rank of E-6 or lower.
