WASHINGTON – Finding a way to give part-time Army National Guard soldiers more time at home will cost the Pentagon $128 million, reveals the Associated Press.  The Pentagon is determined to overhaul training and active duty tours for these soldiers despite the cost, since an average soldier spends 12-15 months in the war zone after 6 months of training.
