The Duke of York was mistaken for an intruder and confronted by armed police as he walked in the gardens of Buckingham Palace. The incident came two days after a break-in at the Palace, which is said to have left Royal protection officers “jittery”.
Prince Andrew, 53, was walking in the garden when sources claim he was ordered to the ground and asked to identify himself. Scotland Yard say that no weapons were drawn during the incident.
