Harvard Business School start-up RallyPoint, a professional networking website for active and retired military personnel, has attracted almost 130,000 members.

The company secured a $5 million investment in early November and launched the site out of beta mode, officially opening what it hopes will become the go-to networking tool for all branches of the armed forces.

RallyPoint is designed to help military personnel of all ranks guide one another through career decisions, whether they plan to stay in uniform or are considering a move to the private sector. Users can consult one another privately or participate in open discussion forums, and track the career paths of soldiers in similar positions.
