The school in rural Briggsdale, Colorado plans to allow concealed carry for teachers.
Briggsdale administrators have been considering their policies in the wake of school shootings nationwide. Briggsdale is a 20-minute response drive from police, on average.
“Twenty minutes is a long time,” Superintendent Rick Mondt said.
He says about 4 of 18 teachers plan to conceal and carry. They will be well-trained, he says.
