Saved by phone charger, a sheriff deputy was spared serious injury. Two Los Angeles County Sheriff’s deputies were shot by a suspect during a routine traffic stop. Authorities say that the tip of the cellphone charger that blocked the bullet, which embedded in the device and saved her from a serious wound.
Sheriff’s Lt. Mike Rosson told reporters at the scene that he’d heard of small objects blocking bullets before, “but something that small is nothing short of a miracle.”
Both deputies were treated and released from local hospitals
