Students from Singapore can look forward to designing satellites under a tie-up between Nanyang Technological University and the US Air Force Academy, NTU confirmed Wednesday.
The agreement is the academy’s first tie-up with a university outside the US.
The campus in the state of Colorado is renowned for its innovative programme that allows undergraduates to design, build and operate micro-satellites about the size of a soccer ball.
The tie-up unites ‘two top educational and technological organisations and allows us to leverage our strength and facilitate mutual learning’, said NTU president Su Guaning.
Apart from space physics and satellite systems, other areas to be explored include aerodynamics, lasers and optics.
