Al-Shabab fighters arrived in five armored vehicles to the Somali coastal town of Haradhere this weekend where pirates are holding the massive Saudi oil tanker Sirius Star that was hijacked a week ago. The somali militants have vowed to rescue the tanker and battle the pirates because the tanker iss owned by a Muslim country and should not have been taken. However, some believe the militia’s motive is to share in the multimillion-dollar ransom the pirates have demanded for the tanker which holds 2 million barrels of oil.
