New details are emerging about the chilling roadside rampage that took the life of Nassau County police officer Arthur Lopez and an innocent motorist.
The suspected gunman, ex-convict Darrell Fuller, apparently made a desperate bid to create an alibi right after the shootings. Now, detectives are questioning someone else, as well.
Fuller is due in court Thursday after being transported from Jamaica Hospital to the Nassau County jail by a heavily armed police escort.
The colleagues of ESU Officer Arthur Lopez tried to console each other a day after the heartbreaking incident.
