Firearms are the focal point of dozens of movies that are released every year, but seldom does the proper tactical training with those firearms make an appearance — that most definitely will not be the case with the upcoming film “John Wick: Chapter 2.”

Actor Keanu Reeves has been busy at work, first hitting the Taran Tactical course and now working out with CHERRIES Covert Ops founder Aaron Cohen.

According to information posted by CHERRIES, “Training consisted of [more than] three weeks of pre-production tactical firearms prep … and [more than] 40 hours of carbine combined with limited penetration room clearing. Cohen was part of a tactical training team selected to train Reeves which included Judo, Ju-Jitsu, Krav Maga, boxing, 3-gun and more.”

“John Wick: Chapter 2,” which follows the adventures of retired hit man John Wick, is scheduled for a Feb. 10, 2017, release. Reeves will reprise his role as the title character.
