A dispute continues in Qatar at the Taliban’s Doha office, as the militant group displays its flag despite Afghan protests.

US Secretary of State John Kerry assured President Hamid Karzai that the flag and nameplate would be removed, but Afghan officials indicated that the move was insufficient.

Negotiators objected to a statement made by the Taliban when the office was established, which had indicated that the the office would be used to represent the Taliban to the outside world.
