Armalite’s competitive shooting team for the 2017 season is stacked. Joining Team Captain Greg Jordan, who is coming back for his fourth season, will be Team Armalite veterans Hunter “Nubs” Cayll and John Mouret. Rick Torres and Tom Lackley are the newbies joining Team Armalite for this season.

Jordan, fresh off his 2016 winning streak, will undoubtedly look to dominate the 3 Gun circuit this year.

“Knowing the role Armalite has played in the development of firearms throughout history, specifically the AR-15 platform, I consider this a great honor,” Jordan said in a press release. “This will be my fourth year shooting for Armalite and I am excited as ever. Shooting quality products from these companies makes my job easy!”

Hunter “Nubs” Cayll is coming back to Team Armalite for his second year. Born with no hands and pretty new to competitive shooting, Cayll is determined to succeed. Aside from his success on the circuit, Cayll also attends major industry trade show events; educates new shooters on the range; and works with Nubility Athletics, a nonprofit dedicated to teaching disabled children how to shoot.

Meanwhile, John Mouret is no slouch himself. He has plenty of experience on the circuit and he’s a Sergeant with the Arizona Department of Public Safety out of Phoenix. In addition to 3 Gun, he’ll be taking part in Law Enforcement multi-gun matches using off the shelf patrol rifle configs from Armalite.

Rick Torres is joining Team Armalite this year. He’s pretty new to 3 Gun. But he has experience in law enforcement and a passion for shooting, which means he’s a natural at the competitive level.

“I’m looking forward to shooting the Armalite M15 Competition rifle this season and keeping it well fed with match ammunition from Nexus. I am very excited and honored to be part of Team Armalite and Team Nexus!” Torres said.

Joining Team Armalite as a factory shooter in 2017 is Junior Shooter Tom Lackley. This’ll be his third year shooting 3 Gun. Watch out for this one: his constant training and natural ability will definitely make him a force to be reckoned with. Long-term goals? Shooting with the Army Marksmanship Unit (AMU).
