Police early Monday morning arrested a High Springs man officers say was found with a police nightstick, a gun, a pipe with marijuana resin and a Taser near the entrance of the High Springs Community School.
Blake Overacker, 18, was arrested and charged with three counts of armed burglary, trespassing, grand theft and possession of drug paraphernalia, according to a High Springs police arrest report.
According to the report, police found Overacker with a black backpack, and he told an officer he was going to a friend’s house. Overacker had a nightstick in a holster on his side, and after an officer took the stick, he asked what was in the pack. Overacker said it was personal and didn’t let the officer search him, but he did consent to a pat-down, which yielded a smoking pipe, according to the report.
After he was arrested, Overacker told the officer he had a gun in the backpack he had stolen from his dad, the report said.
