A University of South Carolina freshman has been arrested and accused of having five handguns in his dorm room.
The Walterboro teen has been suspended by the university and has been banned from the Columbia campus. He’s also been ordered to avoid contact with any student, faculty or staff at the school.
The school’s associate director of law enforcement and safety, Scott Prill, says there is no reason to think the student was planning an attack.
