New York – In the aftermath of the acquittals of three NYPD officers who shot and killed Sean Bell the night before his wedding, police departments are looking for more efficient ways than full-fledged court cases to clean up miscommunication between patrons and officers during confrontations.

Former Bronx homicide prosecutor who helped develop the Pistol Cam, a small device that attaches below the barrel of any handgun and captures the audio and visual encounter once a gun is pulled from its holster, wants the NYPD to consider putting the gadget on its service weapons.
