Violent crime and property crimes declined 0.7 percent in 2007, reversing a two-year rise. The annual national survey by the Federal Bureau of Investigation was released on Monday and is comprised of crime data from more than 17,700 law enforcement agencies.  The agencies reported 1,408,337 total violent crimes including murder, manslaughter, rape and assault, all four of which decreased.
