TUCSON, Ariz. – The scheduled construction of “virtual fence” projects along Arizona’s border with Mexico is on hold indefinitely. Interior Department officials have refused to accept and sign off on an environmental assessment that towers with radar, cameras and communications equipment will have no significant impact, said a spokesman for U.S. Customs and Border Protection.
